Manure pasteurisation.

Manure pasteurisation

During the manure pasteurisation process, manure is heated up to at least 70 degrees for about an hour to destroy disease causing pathogenic bacteria.

Transporting manure to other countries

The destruction of pathogens in manure is required for manure to be transported to foreign countries. Depending on where a company is located in the Netherlands, a percentage of the manure surplus (if any) is to be processed or subcontracted for processing for international transport to be permitted.
